How it works

Three steps. The first two are free.

  1. 1. Snap a photo

One side of the notice, or the PDF if it came by email.

  2. 2. Get the free verdict

Worth fighting or not, the grounds and your last day to challenge.

  3. 3. We file it

Go ahead and our AI writes the appeal; we send it. Nothing to print or post.

After we file

We don’t stop at the first answer.

Whatever the issuer says back, we deal with it, and you can see where it stands at any time.

  • They ask for more evidence

We tell you what they need, get it from you and send it. No extra charge.

  • They refuse

We take it to the independent adjudicator, free, once you say yes.

  • You see every step

Your account shows where your appeal is and what comes next.

What we handle

Any UK ticket with a written way to challenge it

Not court papers, criminal charges or anything only a court can decide. We say so free and point you to help.

Prices

Clear prices. Pay only if you go ahead.

Police tickets (speeding, a red light, a phone, insurance and the like) are different: for £34.99 we write the letter and you send it yourself, because we cannot act for you with the police. The refund if we cannot file does not apply to them; you get your money back only if we cannot write the letter.

Questions

What do I need to send?

A clear photo of the notice (one side is enough), or the PDF if it came by email. If you go ahead, we then ask for your name and address so the appeal can be made in your name.

Is the check really free?

Yes. You see the verdict, the grounds and the deadline before you are asked for anything.

Will my ticket be cancelled?

Nobody can promise that. The issuer decides. We tell you honestly how strong your case looks before you pay.

Why pay when I could appeal myself?

You can, for nothing, and our guides show you how. What ByeFine adds is time and wording: we read the notice, put the grounds in order, ask the issuer for the evidence it relies on, write the appeal in your name and file it, and we tell you first, free, when a case looks weak. It is £6.99 once, refunded in full if we cannot file it, and the free routes stay open to you.

What happens after you file?

The issuer replies, usually by post or email. The appeal gives our support address for the reply, so we read it and tell you what it says and by when you need to act. If anything from the issuer reaches you directly, read it and go by its date. If they ask for more evidence, we get it from you and send it. If they refuse, we take it to the independent adjudicator or appeals service for free, once you say yes. You can follow every step on your account and your case page.

I appealed myself and was refused. Can you help?

Yes. You can still take it to the independent adjudicator or appeals service, such as London Tribunals, the Traffic Penalty Tribunal, POPLA or the IAS, and doing that yourself is free. Send us the refusal letter and we read it free, then write and file that appeal for £9.99, only if you want us to. If we filed your first appeal, we take it there for free.
